Fishing tasks osrs achivement diarie12/15/2023 ![]() This item can be stored in the cape rack of a costume room, as part of the Quest point cape set, along with the hood. In the event that their inventory and bank are both full, the cape will have to be re-purchased from the Wise Old Man. If the player's inventory is full, the cape will be banked instead. Should a new quest be released, the cape will be unequipped and the player wearing it cannot equip or operate it until the new quest is completed. To trim the cape, all Achievement Diaries must be completed as well, thus earning them the achievement diary cape. The quest cape emote can also be used at the top of Falador Castle for a task in the elite Falador Diary. Performing the quest cape emote in the Wise Old Man's house is also an elite task in the Lumbridge & Draynor Diary. Also, players with the maximum number of quest points will find that the prices of dreams in the Nightmare Zone are reduced by 10,000 coins. This is especially convenient as it is the second closest available teleport to a fairy ring (after POH). The cape can teleport players to the Legends' Guild gates an unlimited number of times. The cape, along with the quest point hood, can be purchased from the Wise Old Man in Draynor Village for 99,000 coins. For example, it makes just as much sense that the Wildy Diary would include the Chaos Altar as it would for Big Chompy Bird Hunting to require Hunter both were designed before those updates were added to the game, but that doesn't mean we should be reworking every piece of old content to the modern game since its old design can be part of the game's appeal. The Quest point cape can be obtained by players who have completed all quests (excluding miniquests). But we shouldn't be added new requirement tasks to Diaries anymore then we should be going back and changing old quests to make use of new skills. This would allow them to add new tasks more freely without changing the reqs to access the diary rewards and cape. You could still use the Diary Cape without completing the bonus tasks, but you'd need all the bonus tasks to trim the cape. These tasks aren't counted as part of the tracker and you wouldn't need them for the rewards, but if you complete them all it adds a green trim around the Diary in the menu (perhaps unlocks a new cosmetic of the armor too). My idea on how to address this is to add a new Bonus Tasks section after Elite. So changing the requirements for a Diary would be like going and changing the reqs for a Quest, which makes far less sense. You lose access to the Quest Cape when a new Quest is added, but that is the same as adding a new Diary, which has happened. The problem is that diaries aren't like quests. While this might be unpopular because it takes away achievement diary rewards for some players, I think it's silly that completing an entire area's diary can be done without touching any of the new content released in that area in the last 5 years. ![]() Similar to the quest cape, music cape, and upcoming combat achievements, rewards and diary items from each tier would become unusable as new tasks are added until the tasks are completed. There are also a bunch of other examples that can be pulled from the Trailblazer task list. Morytania - Complete the theater of blood (elite) Karamja - Kill a stone guardian in the Karamjan Temple (elite - DS2 partial completion req) Western Provinces - teleport to your POH in Prifddinas (elite) Varrock (?) - Complete a game of soul wars (medium) Wilderness - Offer up some bones to the chaos altar (easy) Some examples of tasks that would be good to add to each diary: However, with so much new content that was released after the achievement diary release, a lot of content in the regions ends up not being included in the diary. Completing one is meant to indicate that you have access to all of the major content in a particular region. Since then, there have been little to no tweaks to the diary tasks themselves for each region despite tons of new content being added to the game.ĭiaries are a fun way to explore different content in each region and help set goals for new players to train to. Achievement diaries were released to OSRS on March 5 2015.
